INTRODUCTION

Composition: 2/4/14
Utility: Gate, Wind rush, Roar, Mortal Strike, AoE CC.

QUICK OVERVIEW

2 Phase Fight.
Phase 1 = Add phase
Phase 2 = Boss phase

PHASE 1:

  • Dps, Healers and off-tank do not stand in front of boss – he casts a physical debuff frontal.
  • Full burst boss on pull, bloodlust, DPS CDs etc – he stays active for roughly 30 seconds before moving to far platform.
  • Mystic add is PRIORITY.
  • Kill bird when it fixates a player.
  • Spread with Spear debuff, move out of explosion afterwards.
  • Random players get targeted with shield frontal – move to a safe place and stay in it.
  • Ranged should all make an effort to help tanks pick up stray Wallclimbers.
  • Rocks fall on boss platform – these should be thrown at add spawns on edge.

PHASE 2:

  • Arms Warrior must be waiting.
  • Loosely spread to not clip each other with circles.
  • Door soaks must have 10 players minimum – Groups 1 + 3 first, 2+4 second.
  • Group 1 + 3 SAVE DEFENSIVES for second soak unless you absolutely need it for first.

MYTHIC MECHANICS EXPLAINED

Phoenix add joins the fight in Mythic – it will fixate a random player and cause large damage to them – it has relatively low health and must be burst down when it spawns.
There is also a small push effect which will knock players towards the edge of the platform. Simply run against this effect.

FULL FIGHT

Raid will be split into 2 groups – 1 tank, 2 healers 7 dps in each.



PHASE 1:

On pull everybody bursts the boss with dps CDs, lust etc to bring him as low as possible – avoid standing in front of boss and his frontal.

Groups 1+3 will go to close platform, 2+4 will go far (use roar for fast positioning) – IMMEDIATELY KILL THE MYSTICS ON YOUR ASSIGNED PLATFORM.

Group 2+4 will start with boss on their platform – rocks will fall on whichever side the boss in on and ranged dps/healers should throw these over the edge where the faint red glowing pillars are to prevent adds from spawning.

Add priority is: Mystic > Spear > Shield > Wallclimber

Periodically a phoenix will fixate a player in the raid, it must be focused and DPSed down.
The fight plays very much like heroic other than this aside from scaled up damage (this makes Mystics a HUGE priority).

PHASE 2:

Boss will enter phase 2 upon reaching 25% – as such you should not aim to transition if big adds are about to spawn because this last phase is a race against time. An arms warrior should be WAITING AT BOSS ready to cast mortal strike as soon as he is targetable as this will reduce his healing for this phase.

The boss will be facing away from the raid as he still performs the tank frontal. He will continuously pulse raid damage (150k every 10 seconds) throughout this phase.

Players should be loosely spread to avoid clipping each other with AoE circles and then group 1+3 move towards the door to soak the first slam. This will afflict 1+3 with a 500% dmg debuff on the slam and thus should not take the next slam. Follow this pattern until the next door soak for groups 2+4. ALL 10 PLAYERS IN THEIR RESPECT GROUPS NEED TO SOAK THE DOOR OR RAID-WIDE AOE WILL OCCUR.

On the 3th soak groups 1+3 will STILL HAVE THE DEBUFF – you will need to use any personal CDs and raid utilities possible (Rally, Darkness, AMZ, Barrier) –  majority of group 1+3 will most likely be lost but the boss will be very low now and 2+4 should be able to finish him.
